About us

Who we are

Motivated and empowered by our progenitors Felix Aloma Nwosu and Selina Nwanyiwuchi Nwosu who instilled the passion for selflessness and benevolence in us while we sere still very young. My parents made significant strides to ensure that their less privileged kith and kin, both close and distant  achieved emancipation from poverty and hunger. They mobilized members of the community to identify with the desire to seek unliftment and enlightenment. They magnanimously sponsored and supported many of them to seek fortunes beyond the shores of their country of origin. Consequently, many of them thrived in their chosen areas of interest, using those opportunities to raise and nuture their families.

Those acts of philanthropy and selflessness have subsisted beyond their generation. It was normal for me to extend my hands of fellowship to the less privileged people in my community and in any environment in which I found myself. I was always propelled by circumstances to seek the common good.

The desire to formalize the orientation of my parents, satisfy my passion for goodness and bequeath those virtues to members of my immediate family haas compelled me to establish a non profit organization Aku Foundation Inc. Through this platform, we are guided by the equality of life and emboldened by the power of community and collaboration to lift underprivileged people in Black and African American communities out of hunger, poverty and disease.
